I had the great pleasure of working with Kaye on ‘Scarborough’ for BBC1.  Kaye possesses all the characteristics you need from a good Buyer: Thorough, organised, great taste, good instincts and an eye for detail whilst always keeping a rigorous grasp on the budget.  On top of being efficient and professional, Kaye has a brilliant sense of humour and is fun to work with. I really enjoyed propping with Kaye in Manchester, where she’s well known and respected by the Prop Houses. I look forward to us working together again in the future.

Andrew Lavin, Production Designer

Kaye has been a brilliant addition to our art department on ‘The ABC Murders’ and has risen to the challenge of supporting our manic schedule with creative ingenuity, dogged determination and unceasing good humour. She’d be a welcome and valuable member of any art department with an ounce of sense.

Jeff Tessler, Production Designer

I worked with Kaye on ‘The Moonstone’, a 5-episode period drama for BBC1, set in the 1840’s.  Just to add my thoughts, I can only agree with everything that has been said about Kaye in previous testimonials. Boundless energy, an abundance of knowledge, astute budgeting and a ‘never say die’ attitude when it comes to getting impossible props. Above all else, she’s great to have around and a total joy to work with. I look forward to working with her again.

Recently I had the pleasure of working with Kaye on the feature film “Awaiting”. I was the Art Director and she was the Set Dresser and Buyer. Despite very short notice and not much budget, she did a brilliant job. She was extremely committed to her work, always easy-going no matter how much pressure we were under or how long the hours, and – most importantly – she never stopped caring about the quality of her work. I could not have worked with a better Dresser/Buyer and I would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone else. The only thing I would say is don’t call me and ask for more details as to why she’s so great – you probably won’t get me off the phone for a week! Hire her. Before I do so again. You won’t regret it.

Dominic Devine, Art Director

Kaye worked with me as Set Decorator on a psychological thriller, a feature set and based in Yorkshire.  It was an absolute delight working with her – she worked so hard, always managed a smile (which means a lot to me!) and showed her ability to translate the script into finished sets which looked great.  I will have no hesitation in calling on her services again.

Tony Noble, Production Designer

I was very happy to work with Kaye as my Leeds Buyer on ‘Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell’. I was constantly impressed by the way one would mention a sudden prop needed and within hours there it was, with no fuss or drama. She was very hardworking, had a good knowledge of period and art and had a very calm and friendly character that well suited a hectic production. I would unreservedly recommended her for the fields of prop buying and set decoration. Certainly indispensable for any Yorkshire based production with her knowledge of local sourcing, but I am sure she would be equally valuable in other areas given her resourcefulness. I wish her well.

Kaye worked with me on ‘The Thirteenth Tale’, a Heyday Films one-off film for television. Kaye is a bundle of energy and enthusiasm, coupled with an extremely high level of professionalism and commitment to fulfilling the brief. She slipped into the role of Set Decorator for me on two occasions on our project, and dealt with this position confidently.  Finally, not only is she very good at her job but has a great sense of humour – and brings a smiley face to the Art Department every day.

Jon Henson, Production Designer

Kaye brought her skills, enthusiasm and sense of humour on board four television productions I designed.  She is a great team member, and her contribution as buyer working in the set decorating dept certainly added to the creative look of the productions, two contemporary and two period. She has an abundance of energy and her tenacity to pursue that impossible to find prop goes unchallenged!  Oh, and she’s great fun to work with as well!

Grenville Horner, Production Designer

Kaye was our set decorator on Make Bradford British, 2 x 1hr programmes for Channel 4 primetime. She came on board at the very last minute, had very little brief and worked ‘mini miracles’ to set decorate an empty 5 bedroom house.  Kaye got stuck in with no fuss, worked incredibly hard and came up with wonderful ideas to decorate our house in a modern, quirky style. To top it all she came in under budget! I have no hesitation in recommending her, and will use her again whenever we next need a set decorator.

Kaye has shown she has a very good eye for marketable art, and The Indigo Collection has proved to be an enormous success with our clients.  She has demonstrated strong negotiating skills in her dealings with artists and their licensing contracts, and is one of the most organised and efficient colleagues I have ever worked with!
