Kaye joined Fine Art publishers Indigo Art Ltd in 2003 to develop ‘The Indigo Collection’, an exciting, exclusive and unique range of contemporary art and photography to suit the latest interior design trends.  For over 30 years, Indigo Art has supplied art to properties all over the world. Their clients range from large international hotels and leisure groups through to privately owned bars, restaurants, offices and residential projects including show homes, care homes and luxury apartments.  Kaye’s ability to find and select exciting, unique art and photography which will appeal to the interior design market has been fundamental to the success of this Collection.

Kaye has also worked on a number of projects for the company, supplying bespoke artwork to meet specific interior design briefs.  This has also involved commissioning artists and specialist craftsmen to create unique original art for special projects which have included installations, sculpture, outdoor murals and paintings.

Bars/Restaurants

For Indigo Art, Kaye has supplied original and bespoke artwork for various restaurants, bars and a number of pub refurbishments for the Wetherspoons chain.  This has involved  commissioning local artists to design and produce unique pieces of art reflecting the heritage of each establishment’s locality, in keeping with the interior design philosophy and allocated budget.  Projects include a brick art bar facade for the William Tyler in Yardley, an outdoor mural for the Queens Hotel in Maltby and rollercoaster-themed art for The Wheatsheaf, Cheadle.

.

Hotels

For Indigo Art, Kaye has supplied artwork for the bedrooms, corridors and public areas of new build and refurbishment hotel projects – selecting artwork appropriate to the interior styling of both traditional establishments and modern luxury hotels. Clients include The Four Pillars Hotel Group, Radisson SAS and Cedar Court Hotels.

.

Corporate & Residential

Kaye has supplied original and bespoke artwork for the reception areas, boardrooms, corridors and offices of corporate clients including General Motors, JMW Solicitors, Ivy Asset Management and the Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds offices of global private investment bank Rothschild.  Residential projects include show homes, care homes and luxury apartments.

.

Temporary Exhibitions

Kaye has independently organised temporary group art exhibitions for Telfords Warehouse – a popular restaurant and music venue, and the offices of a private solicitors practice in Chester, Cheshire.  Representing local artists, this involved making selections of work, hanging the artwork and managing sales.

TV and Film

Since joining the TV & Film industry in 2008, Kaye has worked on a number of prestigious prime-time productions including features, period & contemporary drama series, documentaries and commercials.  She has built up experience through her involvement in Art Departments large and small, as Production Buyer/Set Decorator.

Set Decorating

Working to varied design briefs, Kaye has imagination and visual flair to deliver the agreed aesthetic of a production.  She has demonstrated her ability to interpret the script to create a specific style, historical period or the personality of a lead character through the selection of appropriate wallpapers, carpets/flooring, furniture and accessories, down to the smallest detail.

With an MA in Heritage Studies, Kaye is also a trained Curator, with experience of working with antiques.  Her special interest in, and knowledge of period styles has come in extremely useful when researching for period film and drama productions.

Prop Buying

Sourcing action and dressing props has been central to Kaye’s involvement on various productions. Often at short notice, she has procured anything and everything from fitting out a hospital set for The Syndicate – Series 2, to a stately home library recreated for a fire stunt in The Thirteenth Tale – and has never gone over budget!  Kaye has also sourced props for other types of projects, such as the permanent displays of the ‘Saw’ roller coaster at Thorpe Park in Surrey and textured surfaces for photo shoots.
